Bee Our Guest Spring Tablescape
Another yellow table this week, I think we need the cheerfulness! I used this bee themed dish set on tablescapes that I did six years ago and then on one that I did three years ago and but this tablescape is a bit different. Hubby is always very pleased when he sees me using things over and over again. There is nothing new on this table setting, I am reusing all of it. I think the tablecloth came from HomeGoods a few years ago. It reminds me of a bee hive and it seemed appropriate for this tablescape. I have never been a fan of bees but I know we need them and I am trying to plant flowers that they like in our garden.
I found these bee salad plates at HomeGoods five years ago. They had no label except made in china. I didn’t like the brightness of the white circle in the center so I found bee table scatter (tiny wood bees) on Amazon and scattered them on the white circle, problem solved. I love the wicker pattern and the added flowers and bee designs are just enough.
I bought these simple blue melamine dinner plates at Crate and Barrel several years ago. I have them in red also.
This is a Color Spectrum charger by Mikasa, the color is Sun Yellow. I bought these chargers on Ebay a few at a time over the years as I saw them because I love the quality, size, weight, and the selection of colors on these chargers. I have them in several colors and I use them often.
I saw this bee flatware set on another tablescaper’s blog several years ago and I finally decided that I had to have it. The set is made by Wallace and the pattern is called Napoleon Bee. They are 18/10 and they are really good quality. I love the bee design on the handles.
You can read my blog post about what to consider when you are buying flatware here.
I found the metal daisy and bee napkin rings on Amazon a few years ago. I can’t remember where I bought the blue napkins. To read about the What, When and How of napkin rings please click here.
This beehive place card holder went through quite a metamorphosis. I found them online at Oriental Trading a few years ago. They were in the Easter section and they were lemon yellow. Inside was a plastic bumblebee. I bought them because I knew Hubby could paint them for me and then he attached a wooden base to the bottom so that they could stand. I already had the tiny bumblebees so I added a few just for fun. To read about the What, When and Why of place card holders, please click here.
We found the blue glass goblet on the left at Hobby Lobby a few years ago. I was looking for a light blue glass goblet and these were perfect. It can be difficult to find yellow glass goblets that don’t have a gold tint to them so when I saw these yellow goblets on the right on Etsy a couple of years ago I immediately bought them. I love the color and the size of them. I have goblets that are a similar shape in red, blue, and purple as well. You can read my blog post about what to consider when you are buying goblets for your tablescaping collection including the colors that I use most often here.
This ceramic yellow wicker centerpiece came from HomeGoods the year after I found the plates there. They don’t have a label except made in china. I was looking for something for a centerpiece and I found the cake plate first and then the small cookie jar, done!
I had to add my tiny glass bee to this table. I have had it for years, I don’t remember where I got it but I knew it belonged on this table!
I love the ceramic wicker bee hive salt and pepper set and the cream and sugar set too. I found them when I found the centerpiece items at HomeGoods.
I have a matching tea pot and a large pitcher as well.
I love doing a Bee Tablescape for Spring Time!
