A Turkey on the Thanksgiving Tablescape
Every Thanksgiving season I have to pull out my large Turkey tureen to use on a tablescape and it often sits out throughout the month of November as a decoration somewhere. I actually created this tablescape in 2020 and saved the photos in 2021 but I guess I never posted it because I can’t find it on my blog. Weird. The cream tablecloth probably came from HomeGoods or Amazon a few years ago.
I bought these turkey salad plates several years ago at Pottery Barn online. The pattern is called Botanical Harvest Turkey. They must be a best seller because they seem to have them in stock every year. I used them four years ago on a Thanksgiving tablescape with blue as the accent color. You can see that tablescape here. These plates have a brighter and more colorful design than some of the other salad turkey plates that I have seen online.
This dinner plate came from Pier 1 several years ago. It was part of their Spice Route Collection, each plate was named after a spice and this one was called Pumpkin. I have a few other plates in that collection and I often use them on my tablescapes this time of year because they are all perfect fall colors. You can read about what you need to think about when you are buying dinner plates here.
This is Mikasa’s Color Spectrum charger in the color Burgundy. They don’t make them any more but you can find them on the secondary market from time to time. If you read my blog you have seen this charger pattern in other colors as well. I love these chargers, they are well made and heavy. I bought them a few at a time as I saw them over a few years on Ebay several years ago. To read about what you should be considering when you are buying chargers please click here.
This gold plated flatware was a gift from Hubby a few years ago. I had bought a cheap set of gold flatware several years ago. It was poor quality and the gold started flaking off. You get what you pay for! We found this set on major sale at Macys. It is made by Wallace and is called Mikasa Duchess Gold. It is heavy and I love the elegant design on the handles. You can read my blog post about what to consider when you are buying flatware here.
I can’t remember where I bought these napkins, they have been in my tablescaping collection for many years. It was probably either Pier 1 or HomeGoods. The colors work really well on a Fall or Thanksgiving tablescape. I think I found the turkey napkin rings online on Ebay several years ago. To read about the What, Where and How of napkin rings please click here.
If you google turkey napkin ring lots of different ones will pop up for sale this time of year.
I found these turkey place card holders on Ebay a few years ago. If you google turkey place card holder lots of different ones will pop up right now. To read about the what, where and how of place card holders, please click here.
The amber glass goblet on the left came from Pier 1 on sale right before our store closed a few years ago. I love how tall they are. The green acrylic goblet on the right is a good match for a fall table setting and it came from our Pier 1 store before it closed a few years ago too. You can read my blog post about what to consider when you are buying goblets for your tablescaping collection including the colors that I use most often here.
I looked for a turkey tureen to use as a centerpiece for a long time and I finally found this one several years ago. It was made by Spode and it was part of their Harvest Collection. I can’t remember where I found it online. I absolutely love it, the colors, the relief design, it is perfect!
These turkey salt and pepper sets probably came from Amazon or HomeGoods a few years ago.
