Daisies on a Summer Tablescape
I found this daisy tablecloth at Home Goods several months ago and waited until I could find the right daisy salad plate to create a daisy tablescape. The tablecloth was made by Tabitha Webb. Daisies are such a happy and cheerful flower and they make me think of summer.
I found these earthenware Bordallo Pinheiro daisy salad plates at Matchesfashion online a few months ago.
I was looking through all my blue dinner plates and I realized that I didn’t have any baby blue dinner plates. I did a Google search and I found these porcelain ones on Amazon. They were made by Madam Marble.
I added an extra plate to the plate stack on this tablescape because I wanted a certain color sequence. I have been looking for a bright yellow dinner plate for a while and when I saw these Celebrate It bright yellow plates on sale at Michaels a few months ago, I bought them. I like the beaded design around the rim.
I found these white plastic chargers at Hobby Lobby on sale last year. I really like the raised and perforated design on the lip of the charger and the scalloped edge. To read about what you should be considering when you are buying chargers please click here.
I tried yellow flatware first on this table but I decided that blue flatware was a better look. I have had this frosted blue flatware set for a few years. The flatware was made by D & D Inox in Italy. I bought it at Neiman Marcus or Bloomingdales during a major sale several years ago. There are similar frosted patterns available online now. If you google frosted flatware and the color that you are looking for something may pop up. You can read my blog post about what to consider when you are buying flatware here.
I am not sure where I found the bright yellow cotton napkins but I love the color. I created the napkin rings by cutting the stem off of a faux daisy flower and temporarily attaching it to a white napkin ring with masking tape. To read about the What, Where and How of napkin rings please click here.
I bought these glass bubble place card holders online a few years ago but I can’t remember where. There is a small hole where a flower blossom can be placed and I added a faux daisy. I found the yellow place cards on Amazon. To read about the What, Where and When of place card holders, please click here.
We found the blue glass goblet on the left at Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago. I was looking for a light blue glass goblet and these were perfect. Hubby bought these vintage yellow glass goblets with etched flowers and leaves at an estate sale last year. You can read my blog post about what to consider when you are buying goblets for your tablescaping collection including the colors that I use most often here.
I found the faux daisies at Michaels a few weeks ago. I put them in a vintage yellow pottery vase that I have had for several years. I found it on Ebay. It is impressed with the letters USA on the bottom.
I wanted to break up the busy tablecloth with some solid color so I added a Mosser white milk glass salt and pepper set. I found the set at Everything Kitchens online last year. I wanted a simple white salt and pepper set and I love this one.
I can’t remember where I found this Bordallo Pinheiro bright yellow basketweave cream and sugar but it was probably on Ebay. I added them to the table to break up the busy tablecloth a bit too.
This table reminds me of my wedding colors, they were yellow and blue too.
