Easter Eggs on an Easter Tablescape
This week I was going to repeat an Easter tablescape that I did four years ago using these salad plates but then Hubby found this Easter Egg Cookie Jar at Goodwill a few months ago and I decided to do a new Easter Egg themed table setting. I found the tablecloth on Amazon last week, it is made by Cotton Craft. This tablescape is a bit different from what I usually do. Those of you who read my blog and have followed my tablescaping know that I am a bit matchy-matchy when it comes to gathering the parts of a themed tablescape together. But for this tablescape, I used three different colors on the place settings. The colors in the tablecloth dictated the colors that I chose. In this photo you can see the yellow, blue, and pink salad plates that I used and some of the flatware, napkin rings, and place card holders that match each salad plate by color. (I substituted green flatware with the yellow plate because I didn’t want to use the yellow flatware sets that I have because they aren’t frosted.)
These egg shaped salad plates have been a favorite of mine for several years. I love the raised design on them. They came from HomeGoods several years ago and they were made by Magenta. The design on the plates is a bit sharper than the photos show, these photos blur them a bit. I have two of these plates in blue, pink, green and yellow and I decided to use the yellow, blue, and pink ones on this Easter tablescape to match the tablecloth.
The blue color is actually brighter and prettier than this photo shows.
The pink color is actually brighter and prettier than this photo shows. Photographing pastel colors can be a bit of a struggle with my phone camera.
This green dinner plate was called Fun Factory and it was made by Waechtersbach. The color was called Green Apple I think. I have had them for several years and I can’t remember where I bought them.
This is a Color Spectrum charger by Mikasa, the color is Sun Yellow. I bought these chargers on Ebay a few at a time as they came up for sale over a few years because I love the quality and the colors. I have them in several colors. This flatware is called Madeline Green and I bought it at World Market several years ago. If you read my blog you saw it last week on my Bunnies Easter tablescape. I use this green flatware often in the Spring and Fall. If you google frosted flatware and add the color you are looking for you will find similar sets. You can read my blog post about what to consider when you are buying flatware here.
I have had this frosted blue flatware set for several years. The flatware is marked D & D Inox made in Italy. I bought it at Neiman Marcus or Bloomingdales online during a major sale.
This pink frosted flatware set was made by Bugatti for Vietri and the pattern was Aladdin, Brilliant. I bought the set at Macys. I have several sets of frosted flatware, I really like the frosted design.
I found the ceramic Easter Egg napkin rings on Ebay last month. I matched them to the color of the salad plate on the table setting. They aren’t marked so I don’t know who made them. To read about the What, Where and How of napkin rings please click here.
I found the mercury Easter Egg place card holders on Mercari a few weeks ago. They are called Celebrate It, Easter Party and they were originally sold by Michaels. I matched them to the color of the salad plate on the table setting. To read about the What, Where and When of place card holders, please click here.
The pink goblet on the left is Godinger Meridian by Shannon and the color is Blush. I can’t remember where I bought them but if you google it, there are several sources. The blue goblet on the right came from HomeGoods a few months ago and it isn’t marked. You can read my blog post about what to consider when you are buying goblets for your tablescaping collection including the goblet colors that I use most often here.
Hubby brought this Easter Egg cookie jar home from Goodwill a few months ago. I wasn’t looking for one but it makes a perfect Easter tablescape centerpiece, serendipity! It had a small chip on the base but I colored it in with a marking pen so it doesn’t show. I put it on a small white plastic cake stand and added plastic grass and plastic Easter eggs around it.
I added my Green Depression Glass Circle pattern salt and pepper set on one side of the centerpiece.
And my Green Depression Glass Circle pattern cream and sugar on the other side to fill in the empty spaces.
When I think of Easter time I think of pastel colors so this tablescape seems appropriate.
