Reindeer on a Christmas Tablescape
I have been thinking about a Reindeer Christmas Tablescape for a few years but it didn’t all come together until this year. I found this Ralph Lauren red tablecloth with a paisley design at HomeGoods several years ago. I can’t remember but this might be the first time that I have used it on a tablescape.
After we found the reindeer for the centerpiece I started looking for some salad plates with reindeer on them. I found several designs but I didn’t like any of them until I found these salad plates at Williams Sonoma online. They are part of their ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas Dinnerware Collection. I love the gold accents and the reindeer design.
I found these glossy white dinner plates at HomeGoods several years ago. They were made by Lenox and the pattern was called Opal Innocence Carved. I like the spiral design because it matches the spirals on the tablecloth and on the salad plates. You can read my blog post about what to consider when you are buying dinner plates here.
I found these gold chargers at Crate and Barrel a few years ago. Crate and Barrel never disappoints me, their products are well made and of great quality.
This gold plated flatware set was a gift from Hubby a couple of years ago. I had bought a cheap set of gold flatware several years ago. It was poor quality and the gold started flaking off. You get what you pay for! We found this set on major sale at Macys. It is made by Wallace and the pattern is called Mikasa Duchess Gold. I love the design on the handle, it’s interesting but not too fussy. You can read my blog post about what to consider when you are buying flatware here.
When I found the Ralph Lauren red tablecloth at HomeGoods I also bought the matching napkins. I really love the rich red color. I found these gold colored reindeer napkin rings online at Servette Home. I really like the antlers and I knew that these gold reindeer napkin rings would be perfect on this Reindeer Christmas Tablescape. I have had these gold metal reindeer place card holders for several years. I can’t remember where I found them. To read about the what, where and how of place card holders, please click here.
I think the red glass goblet on the left came from Crate and Barrel a few years ago. I had been looking for some simple red goblets and I grabbed these when I saw them online. I only bought six and I wished I had bought more but this week Hubby found six other red glass goblets at HomeGoods that are so similar you can’t tell the difference. I found the gold goblet a few years ago on Amazon. They were made by PG. You can read my blog post about what to consider when you are buying goblets for your tablescaping collection including the colors that I use most often here.
This tablescape wouldn’t have been created this Christmas if Hubby hadn’t gone to HomeGoods with me last month and found one of these reindeers that I missed when I was walking around the store. When he showed it to me I immediately thought of a Reindeer tablescape and we bought it. (I think he was sorry that he had shown it to me!) It is just labeled CR on the bottom. I told him that we needed two and he found another one later. I added a Santa that I found at HomeGoods to the centerpiece as well.
