A Summer Watermelon Tablescape
I’ve had these watermelon salad plates for several years but I never used them on a tablescape until now. I kind of forgot that I had them! I think I bought the red and white large check print tablecloth at HomeGoods a few years ago. Red and green are one of my favorite color combinations. You can see a couple other tablescapes I have created with that color scheme here and here.
I can’t remember where I bought these watermelon salad plates and there is no mark on the back.
This Shamrock dinner plate is made by Fiesta. I bought them several years ago at Macy’s.
The charger was made by Mikasa and is called Color Spectrum in Hunter Green. I love this charger, it is heavy and a great color. I have several others in other colors. I bought them all a few at a time on Ebay.
I am using my Madeline Green flatware on this table, I bought it at World Market several years ago. I really like the frosted design on the handles. There are lots of different colored frosted flatware sets for sale right now online at various places.
I bought these Whyalla Watermelon print napkins online at Wayfair four years ago. I was looking for a bold design and these worked! I found the vintage watermelon napkin rings on Ebay then too.
I found these watermelon boxes online at Oriental Trading four years ago. I knew they would work well on this table as place card holders. They could hold a small party favor too.
I used my red Waterford Marquis Brookside goblets for this table setting. I bought them at HomeGoods several years ago. If you read my blog you have seen this goblet on many different tablescapes. The green glass goblets come from The Vermont Country Store online. They are made by Mosser in the U.S. and the pattern is Georgia. They are really heavy glass and very good quality. I have bought a few at a time over the years until I had a set. I also have them in cobalt blue. They come in red as well.
Just for fun I added my Circle pattern green Depression Glass cream and sugar. I bought them many many years ago on Ebay or at an antique mall.
I added my Circle pattern green Depression Glass salt and pepper too. They came from Ebay many years ago.
I was randomly searching on Etsy a few years ago for anything watermelon related that I could use as a centerpiece and found this painted half gallon Mason jar. I added some faux geraniums and it was done!
I just love red and green together!
We definitely need watermelon for dinner!
