Time for a New Year's Eve Tablesape
Can’t let the old year pass without a new table setting! Hubby found the glass centerpiece bowl and matching glass candle holders at an estate sale a couple of years ago. They are heavy glass and I love them!
The camera is washing out the gold colors a bit unfortunately, they are brighter than the photos show and the tablecloth is a brighter gold. I found the tablecloth on Amazon a few years ago. I have another gold tablecloth but it has leaves on it and I wanted one with a more generic pattern that I could use.
I have had these clock plates for several years, I bought them at HomeGoods. They are labeled Arlington Designs.
This white plate is very dear to my heart. This was my grandmother’s Haviland china that was passed down to my mother and then to me. We used it every Christmas when I was growing up. Haviland has a complex pattern numbering system. I think this pattern is Ranson Gold, Blank Number 1. The back says Haviland France. I have service for 16 now I think and also several serving pieces. I have added to the set over the years. This is a smaller dinner plate as they were in those days. It measures about 9 3/4” across.
This black dinner plate was called Fun Factory and was made by Waechtersbach, Germany. I bought them at HomeGoods several years ago. It’s a good basic black dinner plate.
The black glass Starburst charger is called Charge It and was made by Jay. I bought them several years ago on Amazon. They are heavy glass and work well with many different color schemes.
This gold plated flatware was a gift from Hubby a couple Christmases ago. I had bought a cheap set of gold flatware several years ago. It was poor quality and the gold started flaking off. You get what you pay for! We found this set on major sale at Macys. It is made by Wallace and is called Mikasa Duchess Gold. It is brighter than this photo shows and it is heavy. I love the design on the handle. You can really see the design in the tablecloth in this photo.
The clear fluted goblet on the right with the black stem is called Octime and the manufacturer was Luminarc Arcoroc. They were made in the 1980’s. I bought them on Ebay. I like the taller goblets, they add a stronger element to a table setting. The goblet with the V shaped black bowl on the left came from Neiman Marcus Last Call online a couple years ago. The pattern is called Classic Touch. I really liked the unique design when I saw it and they were on sale too. I love the way these two goblets compliment each other.
I think I bought the black napkins on Amazon several years ago. I can’t remember where the gold napkin rings came from. I have had them for several years.
These gold ornament place card holders are a good match for this table setting. I have had them for a few years and I don’t remember where they came from.
I found these gold mercury votive candle holders on Amazon. It seems like every time I need a special candle holder or candle I can find it on Amazon and for a good price too. And it sometimes comes in one day!
I added gold bead garland and gold ornaments to the centerpiece bowl for more glitter and gold candles to the candle holders.
A Happy New Year to one and all!
